Position: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Location: WHiteville NC.

Hours: Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM.

Compensation: $21.50 per hour.

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our health support team. The LPN will play a crucial role in ensuring the well-being of a student with specific medical needs. This position involves providing essential medical assistance, monitoring, and support during school hours.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accompany the student on the Columbus Transport bus to and from school/home to ensure a safe and comfortable journey.
• Assist in changing the Colostomy bag as needed, maintaining a hygienic and supportive environment.
• Monitor and administer insulin based on the student’s diabetic plan, ensuring proper management of their diabetes.
• Follow the established diabetic plan to maintain the student’s health and prevent any complications.
• Maintain vigilance and readiness to respond in the event of seizures, as noted in the student’s health plan.
• Collaborate with the School RN for guidance and as backup support, utilizing their expertise to ensure comprehensive care.

Qualifications:

• Valid LPN license.
• Compassionate and patient demeanor with a strong sense of empathy.
• Excellent attendance record to provide consistent support to the student.
• Ability to follow medical protocols and health plans accurately.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with the School RN and other team members.

• LVN (Preferred).
• BLS Certification (Preferred).
• LPN (Preferred).
