Mechanical Assembly Tech
Pay: $11 an hour starting off.
A. Purpose of Position: To be responsible for repairing a variety of manufactured
products. To be a support role for several areas of manufacturing, including but not
limited to shipping, quality, and assembly.
B. Essential Functions:
Ability to perform basic PCB assembly and rework using a soldering iron
Ability to replace plugs along with testing for quality
Ability to perform product assembly for each stage in the production line process
Understand and document product failure reasons
Identify and report defective products along with possible solutions.
Document inspections and testing results per Standard Operating Procedures
(SOP)
Maintain the production pace of other team members
Exceptional troubleshooting skills using standard tools and equipment
Use appropriate safety equipment and procedures
Ability to manage work independently as well as within a team project
Additional Responsibilities:
Maintain the work area and test station in a clean and orderly condition
Work closely with related departments to ensure optimized workflow
Ability to provide suggestions how to continuously improve both products and
processes
C. Requirements:
Technical electronics degree or certification along with 2+ years’ relative
experience or any relevant combination of education and experience
Basic Computer skills that include entering information accurately into various
systems/applications
Understand and follow basic verbal and written instructions
Effectively communicate information and respond to questions from various
levels within the organization
Possess basic mathematical skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and
division
D. Working Conditions/Physical Requirements
Warehouse environment. Daily use of wrists, hands, fingers, arms to use
computer and phone. Ability to hear and speak clearly for gathering and giving
simple to complex information to a group. May have to move materials up to
2020
May also engage in frequent bending, stooping, squatting, pushing, and pulling of parts
