Skilled Tool Finisher – Job description

Department: Finishing Department

Location: Lake Waccamaw NC

Employment Type: Full-Time

Shift Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 10-hour shifts

Key Responsibilities:

Grinding Rough Edges: Use manual tools and equipment to smooth and remove rough edges from products, ensuring they meet our quality standards.

Painting: Apply paint to products following established guidelines and quality control measures. Maintain a clean and organized painting area.

Attaching Handles: Skillfully attach handles to products, ensuring they are securely fastened and meet safety standards.

Quality Control: Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality and safety standards. Report any defects or issues to the supervisor.

Safety: Adhere to all safety guidelines and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) to ensure a safe working environment.

Efficiency: Work efficiently to meet production goals and deadlines while maintaining product quality.

Cleanliness: Keep work areas clean and organized to ensure a safe and productive workspace.

Teamwork: Collaborate with team members to achieve departmental goals and contribute to a positive work environment.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Previous experience in a manual labor or manufacturing role is preferred but not required.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.

Physical stamina and the ability to lift and carry heavy objects when necessary.

Willingness to work in a dirty environment and wear appropriate PPE.

Dependable and punctual.
